How do I check that alarms work?

On iPhone: open the «الإعدادات» (Settings) tab and, under «الجاهزية» (Readiness), tap «جرّب منبه بصوت» (Test alarm with sound). A real system alert rings five seconds later. If iOS asks to allow alarms, tap Allow.

On Android: open the «الإعدادات» (Settings) tab; under «الجاهزية» (Readiness), «تنبيه دقيق من النظام» (Exact system alarm), «إشعارات المنبّه» (Alarm notifications) and «يظهر على شاشة القفل» (Shows on the lock screen) should all read «جاهز» (Ready). If one reads «يحتاج إذنًا» (Needs permission), tap «ضبط صلاحيات التنبيه» (Alarm permission settings). Then tap «جرّب منبه بصوت»: a real alarm starts straight away.

An alarm does not ring, or will not stay switched on

On iPhone: Sahsah needs permission to schedule alarms: Settings tab → «ضبط صلاحيات التنبيه» (Alarm permission settings). If you declined before, it opens iPhone Settings so you can allow it there.

On Android: check Readiness as above, and that the phone's alarm volume is not zero. Some phones (HONOR and HUAWEI, for example) stop apps in the background, which cancels their alarms: if Home shows «اسمح لصحصح يشتغل في الخلفية» (Let Sahsah run in the background), tap it and allow Sahsah. And do not tap "Force stop" for Sahsah in the app settings: Android cancels the alarms of an app stopped that way until you open it again.

Why does it ring with Apple's sound when I chose another tone? (iPhone)

On iPhone the alert rings with Apple's default alarm sound, because it is the only sound iOS keeps repeating until you stop it; the tone you chose plays inside the app. To hear Sahsah's tone in the alert, turn on «نغمة صحصح في التنبيه (تجربة)» in the alarm editor — it plays once, for about 25 seconds, then goes quiet.

I stopped the alarm and it rang again two minutes later (iPhone)

That happens for alarms with a mission. The system alert always has a Stop button, so if you stop it before completing the mission, Sahsah rings again 2, 4 and 6 minutes after the alarm time — three times at most. To end them all, tap «المهمة» (Mission) on the alert and complete the mission in the app. If you do not want this, choose «بدون مهمة» (No mission) in the alarm editor.

How do I stop an alarm that has a mission? (Android)

On Android, from within Sahsah, an alarm with a mission stops only when you complete the mission, snooze it (three snoozes at most), or its ringing time runs out (10 minutes). If you do not want a mission, choose «بدون مهمة» (No mission) in the alarm editor.

Where do ads appear?

On iPhone: two Google banners, one at the top and one at the bottom, on three screens only: Alarms, History and Settings; and after you end an alarm inside the app a full-screen ad may appear, which you can close. Never on the alarm screen, inside a mission, or on the Lock Screen alert.

On Android: one Google banner at the bottom of the screen, on History and Settings only, and no full-screen ad. Never on the alarm screen, inside a mission, or on the lock screen.

How do I stop personalised ads?

On iPhone: Sahsah's ads on iPhone are already non-personalised: Sahsah does not ask for tracking permission and does not use your device's advertising identifier, so there is nothing to turn off. Where Google asks for your consent in your region, change your choice under Settings tab → «إدارة موافقة الإعلانات» (Manage ad consent).

On Android: phone Settings → Privacy → Ads → "Delete advertising ID". Or in the app: Settings tab → «الإعلانات والموافقة» (Ads and consent) opens your phone's ads or privacy settings. Once the ID is deleted, ads continue, but are not based on that ID.

Details: privacy policy.

I saw an inappropriate ad

Tap the small information icon on the ad (AdChoices) to report or hide it with Google, and send us a screenshot at founder@speacetech.com so we can block that ad or its category in our account.

How do I cancel Sahsah Plus?

On iPhone: in your App Store account settings → Subscriptions.

On Android: in the app, Settings tab → «إدارة الاشتراك» (Manage subscription). Or open Google Play → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Sahsah, or go to your Google Play subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.

Where is my data, and how do I delete it?

Your alarms and history are on your phone only; we have no copy. Clear the history under Settings → «مسح سجل الصباحات» (Clear wake history), or delete the app to erase all of its data from the phone. There is no account, so there is nothing else to delete. On Android, Sahsah does not back up to Google Drive: if you delete the app your alarms are erased, and if you change phones they do not come with you — except that, on some manufacturers' phones, a phone-to-phone transfer tool (by cable, for example) may carry them across.

What does Sahsah need?

An iPhone with iOS 26 or later, or an Android phone with Android 7.0 or later.
